Meet The Founder: Ashley Garza

 

At 22 years old, I decided to open Pink Magnolia Boutique & CO.

 

Owning a boutique has always been a dream of mine.  Growing up I always envisioned my store layout and what things I wanted to provide to my customers.

 

The name “Pink Magnolia Boutique & Co.” is a dedication to my grandparents.  Magnolia came from my grandmothers love for Magnolia tree/plants and Pink is for my grandfather’s part representing his mother who has recepassed on due to battling breast cancer.  If it wasn’t for my grandparents raising me and always being my number one supporter, this boutique would still be a dream. This boutique is dedicated to them both for their ever-lasting support and for pushing me to reach for the stars!

 

For example, if I wanted to do a DIY project and build a specific type of fence, my grandmother would say “okay, let’s go to the store & buy the supplies” then my grandfather would help me create the layout and build the fence with me.

 

No matter what ideas I planned, created, or just thought of creating, their first response would be “If that is something you want to do, then go for it. You won’t know until you try it and see the outcome.” They never once doubted my ideas, nor turned them down. When mentioning about wanting to start a boutique they were excited for me and advised me to do my research before jumping in.

 

Pink Magnolia Boutique & Co. will always be a family business.  With the help of my grandparents, my mother, my boyfriend, and other family members always volunteering to help me at the markets, Pink Magnolia Boutique & Co is on its way to a milestone.

 

So, as stated before, this boutique is dedicated to both of my grandparents.  This is just a little background of how Pink Magnolia Boutique & Co unfolded.
